Most wonderful day!

Today I went downtown because I had some Cannonball stuff to do. This one small task turned into a wonderful afternoon/evening with a great friend of mine. It all started when I met JDot in Kensignton. We went to the cutest yarn store, ever. Now I know where to buy super soft yarn for special projects. I forget what the store is called, but it was so cute. It's basically one room, with a table in the middle where people can knit and talk about the hobbie.

We then went into a few thrift shops and I went creativity shopping. You see, my friend is organizing a charity fashion show for "Make Poverty History" and I am going to design a few pieces for it. I've got some ideas, and started a piece and some drawings already, but needed some more 'something' to get me chugging along. It was nice to see some cool clothes this afternoon, tomorrow I will sew, sew and sew.

We then went down to school to do the Cannonball stuff. We finally got the laptop working. It took forever, but the wait was well worth it because then Janet and I went out for dinner!! I love spontaneous activities, especially when they involve food and good friends. We went on a nice walk down good old College street and got some good grub at Utopia. I love that place. It's just got a good vibe and my tummy gets such good satisfaction whenever I eat there. Mmm! We also revived some good memories and had some good conversation. I was quite pleased. And to top it off we went to Cobalt after and got yummy martinis. I tried one called a Lolita: passion fruit, mango, lime and of course, vodka! I had never been there before, and boy was it nice. I am definitely going there for drinks another day. They were playing Stars!!!

So that's my update for today. Um, and I guess my holidays have been good so far. I saw Disney's World on Ice...saw family, my cousin's new house, cousin's babies....so cute...saw Jonathan's family...saw Narnia...the Queen had a wicked outfits..and I can't wait till Cannonball is over...and one more thing, tomorrow is 2006! I am getting old. Hehe...and so are all of you. Night.
