lauren, honey, I still see a pediatrician. my checkup before college--with my pediatrician. he takes us till we're 20, i believe.

don't worry about it. lollipops are the only reason i go to the doctor anymore anyway.

if they just gave me older person gowns, i wouldn't be annoyed. i don't have a real beef with my doc, he's a nice gentleman. but damnit, i want to feel like a big girl sometimes.

i went to a pediatrician until i turned 18. there's nothing weird about it. he was turning into a creepy old man, though. and now i go to lady.

i actually like my adult doctor better because she's a girl, and i feel way more comfortable with her. but... idunno.

I went to a pediatrician for a long long while as well. When I made the switch to non-pediatrician, meh, more comfortable perhaps with the surroundings, but not with the guy. He wouldn't know my name if it wasn't on the chart in front of him, which is kinda crummy.

plus if i got morbidly obese, an adult doctor might not be as sensitive to my vulnerable state. and i just can't have that.

At least you like your pediatrician, mine was, by all accounts, rather creepy and pretty horrible. Now I go to our family doctor, but I feel like I'm missing out on something, namely, the lollipop. *Mourns loss of childhood symbolized by lollipos or some bs like that*

you should wear those backless gowns like a robe the next time you go to the doctor. that's what i do and for some reason it freaks my doctor out every time. but the bugs bunny thing is much awesomeer.

i can always count on you to say something creepy. i should do that with my endochronologist. he's basically a leathery, old, tennis playing, but internationally famous old man. one time, on this survey they made me fill out, i put that i was widowed and have had three children. he was not pleased.
