I agreed with everything you wrote and found it to be most articulate and thought provoking.

JKR was NOT KIDDING when she said DH would be a blood bath. It was really sad but beautiful how Snape's dying wish was to have Harry's green eyes look into his. But he is in a better place now and reconciled with Lily. His Patronis was sweet.
I cried buckets about Dobby. I think that it was fantastic when Molly took Bellatrix out and was really glad that JKR made Minerva such a feisty and powerful witch. I loved the scene where she had enchanted the desks into a stampede and was running behind yelling charge. Also so nice to see Neville Longbottom a hero and have confidence and his Gran be so proud of him. Loved it when Trelawney was lobbing her crystal balls and Hagrid called the Centaurs “nags”.

It was weird that she took all the sting out of the Malfoys. Narcissa redeemed herself. I am glad Draco lived even though JKR was a bit mean in making him start to show signs of baldness 19 years later. LOL.

What is it with all the deaths ? Even the Sorting Hat copped it !

In conclusion, I loved the book.

I am sort of giggly thinking of what Jason Isaaics is thinking about now -- that his mean boy image sort of takes a hit in DH's - lol!

She certainly didn't hold back with the deaths, that's for sure. And with the Harry almost dying bit...wow -- it was intense.

I am so pleased with Narcissa -- in both HBP and DH's, she showed what ends a mother will go to for her child, and her support of Lucius was sweet -- giving him little squeezes to let him know it was okay and that she was there for him.
