hmm where to start........
Well I've been wicked "sick" for months, actually like a year now. I get horrible migraines and the doctors can't quite figure it out. They're worse with stress but I've always thrived on stress and chaos, without it I get depressed and feel useless. So therein lies the conundrum.
Due to my health issues I've fucked myself over in school so I'm trying to figure that all out. I don't even know where I'll be located next year.
I do however have a job for the summer, HURRAY!!! It's at Karl Storz, I think I'm going to enjoy working there. I'm really excited that I'll be doing hands-on things, rather than crunching numbers like last summer.
AND its process improvement stuff, which is pretty much what I want to do in real life. Lean ideals, TPS, Kaizen events, LOVE IT! (I'm such a nerd)
So time for bad news. These last few months the Family at large has lost quite a few pets.
Earlier this month Chataguay (10yr old border collie) was put to sleep. His lyme disease flared up and it did nerve damage to his hips. He was crippled for the last few months, basically since thanksgiving. So sad, he was such a lively dog. I love him very much
Sundance,( 45-50...+?? yr old quarterhorse) he was ancient! "The Old Man" I'd known him since I was 6 and he was always an ornery old bastard. He lived very happily on a farm in PA for the last year of his life.
Ballerina (35-40 yr ld, welsh pony) the sweetest pony I've ever met. She was my niece's so I wasn't super close to her but it was sad to come home and not see her hanging her head out of her stall.
Chole (4 yr old peking duck) the only tradgic death. Apparently she was trampled by one of the horses. Strange b/c the other duck is the one that limps. We now have BleuDuck (since you can't just have one duck, they get depressed). However Eloise hasn't been looking so hot lately, I think she took it hard.
Sandy (old cocker spaniel) She was my niece's dog and lived in Oceanside. My Sister-in-law took it very hard but in reality she was just an old cocker with diabetes and generally just fell apart, which is common for them. I gave my Sister-in-law Sassy, the shiztu my mother randomly adopted for me. Rosa loves to play dress-up with her and Sassy loves to pee on the floor (oh, and look cute).
Snip(12-18 yr old "outdoor"cat) She was still sitting at the front door when the former owners of our house left. Snip didn't like being indoors but as she got old spent more time in when it was cold, always in my room. When I had mono she almost suffocated me by napping on my face when I was asleep. In about august she just didn't come home, last winter she got in a fight with some large creature and never got back to 100%. It's strange not having her be the 1st to welcome me home.
