One more week until the trip of pown to Springfield for the Route 66 Film Festival.
Saturday the 16th Julia and I take the 8:15 am Amtrak train to Springfield, three hour ride. We'll book into the hotel, maybe get some food. If we have time I want to take a glimpse at the Capitol Building seeing how it's like 2 blocks from where we're staying.
The Festival schedule for Saturday is:
1:00 - Audience Choice Documentaries
3:30 - Audience Choice Comedies (from the plot descriptions, some of these sound MIGHTY gay)
7:30 - Thriller and Feature Winners
Break to eat, sleep, etc. Sunday is:
12:00 - Audience Choice Dramas (zzzzz....)
2:00 - Special Features (no idea)
4:00 - Award Winners (Hey! That's me!)
So basically I have to wait till the very end to flex my shit. No biggie.
Monday morning our train leaves at 6:30 am, which kinda sucks balls seeing as I have class at 1 and then work right after that. Oh well. I can't fucking wait though. Many pictures will be taken and shared.
On a completely unrelated note, I declare
Knights of Cydonia by Muse to be the song and music video of the year. I guarantee that MTV won't even nominate it for a VMA seeing how they don't know a good music video if it smacked them in the face with its cock of awesomeness. Enjoy.
