Fic Rec: You Were Just So Conveniently There (SPN)
This is one of those fics where the characterizations are everything you ever wanted and so many things you never thought to want. It is hands down the best Sam voice I've ever read. It makes his pain knowable in ways that will break your heart. It's especially amazing considering the overwhelming depth of it in the show (which I personally find hard to connect with at times). This forces you to stop looking at Sam like a victim or a freak, and reminds you he's just a human.
Oh, and Castiel is perfect too.
