He's tough, I just wish he were a tad more disciplined. Everyone loves a big hit, but there's a difference between an Orpik and a Marchment. Then again, Stevens was an even bigger asshole when he started out, and it took him a number of years to calm down.

We're tied in points, but the Devils have more wins; I thought that was supposed to be the first tie-breaker?

He'll calm down. I like that he's feisty, though. Most of us down here can appreciate a bit of a mean streak as long as you're not a total douche about it.

Flyers have a game in hand on the Devils; that gives them a superior points-per-game percentage, which is actually the first tie-breaker.

You know, I always thought that should have been the factor, but I could have sworn I've seen ties in the standings in the past where a team with more games played and more wins has been ranked higher. Then again I think I've seen days where the standings on nhl.com and tsn are different, so...

Canadian teams must rank above American teams, per TSN. I think Don Cherry is their webmaster.

Well, all things being equal, they're denser since there are fewer Canadian teams in the league, so they have to count for more :p
