San Diego!
Last week David, Joel, Matt and I all went to San Diego! Before out departure on Thursday we decided to paint the city red. It kind of sucks going out with David because I cant help but black out every single time...so sure enough I blacked out. I remember we all ran down 27th street ding dong ditching my entire neighborhood. Matt even RIPPED OFF a door bell....fucking crazy. Anyway..it was a pretty amazing night to say the least. David and I ended the night on my roof having deep convos with the Golden Gate as our scenery. Thursday we were hung over as shit but we still managed to drive 8 hours to Oceanside, CA. Got there and it wasn't as sunny as we were expecting, still warm though. Since we were still sick and tired we kept it cool and had some dinner at Cabo Grill with a few beers and roof top views with David's sister Shannon and his cousin Samantha. Afterwards we just walked around Oceanside and attempted to go to a few bars but they were all full of douchebags so we just walked around the beach and drank/smoked. We ended up walking till like 3am because we somehow got lost and were too drunk to properly find out way back home. Fun night.
Friday we woke up to this big ass delicious breakfast made by David and Shannon. Afterwards we got showered and dressed and headed for downtown San Diego. I loved this trip more than Oceanside for sure. We bar hopped and got a couple drinks at a couple different places. Ended up chillin at the Petco Park for a second and then headed to Dicks for some beer and wings. I got a souvenir for free because the bartender was from San Francisco! Sweeeeet! We drove back to Oceanside and cooked some hamburgers. Shannon's friend Jerry and David's ex Jessica showed up. It was actually super awkward and it kind of ruined the mood for us all because despite the fact that she is IN his ENTIRE family's life and it has been like....YEARS since they broke up she still doesnt have the maturity to keep things civil and friendly. I dont really get that whole situation. I've talked to David about it A TON and it seems to me that some girls just cant get it together. If you are going to revolve yourself around his entire group of friends and family, don't be so immature and get your shit straight girlfriend because that shit gets real unattractive and real old REAL quick! I know sometimes its hard to fall in love and get your heart broken...but the reality is that people go through that, its part of life. I once lived with a boyfriend I dated for like a year and a half and I was madly in love. All I am saying is that you have a choice of whether you can run away from your problems or face them and grow as a person and by becoming so close to his family and friends and then STILL refusing to be mature about a stupid situation, it's not anyone's faul but you're own. I just went on a serious rant but its only because I cannot stand it when girls act like victims when they are constantly putting themselves in that situation. Anyways we all kind of laughed it off after she left and continued with our night. This night we decided to make things more fun and go to Pier View Pub for some live music and pool. Fun night.
Saturday we woke up to a big ass breakfast yet again, then headed to Pacific Beach. Super fun! The weather was beautiful, the beach was awesome, the little shops, the bars, the atmosphere! So much fun. Matt and David bought a speargun and snorkling mask (weird kids) and then after a few hours and drinks we headed back. We cooked on the roof and than kind of just hung out in the living room since we were all exhausted. Shannon invited us to a U2 concert in Anaheim but we all hate U2 and we all kind of wanted a relaxing night anyways. We decided to spend our last night on the beach, so thats what we did and it was perfect.
Drove back home to the bay on Sunday and had Father's day dinner with Joel's family. On monday my room mate and I went to Goodwill and then drove to Dublin to hang out for the night. I have been talking to David about my room mate Jessica because I think he'd like her, he did and they hit it off right away! yay!! I think its kind of ironic and hilarious that her name is Jessica though. HA! Had to be a good wingman and spend the night since they wanted their sexy time. Unfortunately his house is haunted and the ghosts were messing with me so I had to barge in and sleep on his nasty ass floor. The things I do to get my friends laid. Oh well.
I LOVED our road trip. I bonded with these guys more than ever and I am so happy to be able to call this group of freaks my friends. It is going to be extremely hard saying goodbye to David, but I know he will be back for good very soon and we can go on our crazy Amsterdam trip and move to Canada. Also Matt is moving to the city so I can only imagine the kind of disasters that are waiting to happen. <3
