The dorm that I live in happens to be one of the oldest on campus, so we have a lot of problems with mold and mildew. This is especially true in the bathrooms, since they're closed off and tend to stay humid during warm weather.

Since our suitemate is leaving tomorrow, doodlebuggey88 and I went ahead and cleaned the shared bathroom tonight. (poet_drake's been studying

The custodians take care of the hallways, stairwells, laundry room, and other public areas. The rooms themselves, as well as the bathrooms (since they're private - there are some dorms that have community ones that are taken care of by the custodial staff), are up to the students to keep clean.
