(Translation: Settiai's taking a break from schoolwork before her brain melts out her ears. Again.)
Let's see...
Eee! I'm seriously looking forward to Volume #16 of the Buffy the Vampire Slayer Season 8 comics. (
Look at the shiny picture if you don't mind being spoiled!)
The major NCIS spoilers that came out last week have me flailing. A lot.
As for the the Numb3rs spoilers that have been released, I'm waiting to see how that goes. I'm not thrilled, but I won't make any judgments until I see how everything plays out.
I refuse to take any and all Doctor Who spoilers with a grain of salt until the episodes involved have aired. And possibly even after the episodes have aired.
The same goes for any potential Sarah Jane Adventures spoilers.
One of my history professors saw me reading
jo_graham's Black Ships and decided he wants to read it over the summer. He is also considering
naominovik's Temeraire series, which he saw me reading earlier in the semester. *pause* I'll admit that I'm a little curious how that's going to turn out, since he's not exactly what you'd call a fan of the fantasy genre.
Eventually I will get caught up on Battlestar Galactica. And Lost. Not to mention Supernatural. Dexter. Also Heroes. Plus Psych. Oh, and Monk. *cough* Plus anything that's aired in the past week or two that doesn't involve a time traveling alien who lives in a flying blue box.
I will also get back to work on non-
tardis_bigbang fanfiction in the near future. Eventually. Starting with the various half-finished stories I have sitting in my writing notebook, with such interesting plots as:
The A-Team
* One of Hannibal's plans goes wrong. B.A. and Murdock get stuck together in a collapsed building.
Baby-Sitters Club
* Long, complicated plot set after high school graduation. Begins with Logan/Mary Anne and ends with Dawn/Mary Anne, with a lot in between.
Doctor Who (general universe)
* Jo and Benton talk and plot their escape from the bad guys when the cavalry takes too long to get there.
* Five ways the world might have been changed if Harry had made a different decision.
* Five, Tegan, and Turlough end up in the wrong place at the wrong time. As usual.
* Seven, Ace, and Hex go places and do things things and are generally awesome.
* Romana II and Leela near the end of the Time War. (Based on Gallifrey canon.)
*Gen, plot-based adventure with Nine, Rose, and Jack. That might possibly end with "and then they all had sex."
* Gen, plot-based adventure with Ten and Rose.
* Gen, plot-based adventure with Ten and Martha.
* During the Year That Never Was, Martha meets lots of people. Lots and lots of people.
* Gen, plot-based adventure with Ten and Donna.
* Romana shows up in Cardiff via the Rift and meets Team Torchwood - and things go downhill from there.
* While the rest of the team's drawn off on a wild goose chase, it's up to Ianto to save the day back at the Hub.
* Long story featuring various combinations of Jack/Ianto/Gwen/Rhys.
Doctor Who / Gargoyles
* The Tenth Doctor and Rose pick up a seventeen-year-old Alex Xanatos.
Doctor Who / Harry Potter
* Torchwood might be outside the police, beyond the United Nations... but they still occasionally have to deal with the Ministry of Magic. Post-DH, Percy Weasley is assigned as a liaison to Torchwood during a magic/alien situation. (Jack/Ianto/Percy for the win!)
Doctor Who / NCIS
* Team Gibbs meets Team Torchwood. Chaos reigns. And Abby/McGee/Toshiko have hot sex. The end.
due South / Jossverse
* Faith meets Fraser. Need I say more?
Gummi Bears
*
settiai actually finishes the long, mostly gen, Gusto-centric story that she's been working on forever.
Harry Potter
* Percy-centric story for the upcoming ficathon. Sorry, no specifics for now.
Hogan's Heroes
* Carter and Newkirk have to wait out a German patrol.
* Long, plotty mission-gone-wrong story featuring everyone.
Jossverse
* Buffy and Giles get to know one another, set in early S1.
* "What if Buffy never returned to Sunnydale?" Majorly AU after BtVS S2.
* While Angel's in Sunnydale during "Pangs," Doyle and Cordelia have their own adventure.
* It's up to Giles to rescue Buffy during the summer between S3 and S4, when the rest of the Scoobies are out of town.
*
settiai finishes the long, complicated Dawn-centric story that's been in the works since '02.
* When they find out Glory's plans for Dawn, the Scooby Gang heads to L.A. Goes AU for BtVS S5 (and the last, oh, five seconds of AtS S2 onward.)
* Post-"Not Fade Away," everybody lives. (Started before BtVS S8/AtS S6 began.)
* Post-"Not Fade Away," everybody dies. That doesn't mean the battle's over. (Started before BtVS S8/AtS S6 began.)
Jurassic Park
* Alan, Billy, and Ian in the aftermath of The Lost World. With possible Alan/Billy.
Magnificent Seven
* General "bad guys come, bad guys get asses kicked, one or more of the Seven gets hurt, but there's a happy ending" story.
NCIS
* Ducky in the aftermath of "Meat Puzzle."
* Missing scenes and episode tag to "Requiem."
* Tony's having nightmares in the aftermath of "Requiem."
* An undercover operation goes wrong, and the others have to find Tony before it's too late.
Peacemakers
* Stone, Finch, and Katie have to solve a crime. General casefic.
* Stone and Finch realize they're becoming friends. Or, you know, more.
Pirates of the Caribbean
* Norrington/Anamaria, set between the first two movies.
Saiyuki
* Gojyo and Hakkai have sex. There might be plot. Possibly. Though it's mostly just the sex.
seaQuest
* The new crew learns to work together in early S2 as Settiai finally finishes the 15,000+ word story she keeps putting to the side.
Star Trek: Deep Space Nine
* Julian in the aftermath of "Distant Voices."
* Odo/Kira/(Bashir) in the aftermath of "Children of Time"
Star Trek: Enterprise
* Trip's an idiot, Malcolm tells him as much, and then Trip and Hoshi make out.
* Malcolm's an idiot, Trip tells him as much, and then Malcolm and Hoshi make out.
* Malcolm and Trip are both idiots, Hoshi tells them as much, and then all three of them make out.
* Malcolm and Hoshi are in a shuttle crash.
Stargate SG-1 and Atlantis
* Jonas deals with Daniel's return from the dead. Hints of Jack/Daniel and Jack/Jonas.
* The SGA team from S1 has to work together and really become a team.
* Radek and Rodney are their usual selves. Plus they make out.
* Rodney doesn't like arrows. Mainly because people keep shooting them at him.
* Jonas Quinn fights the Ori and is generally awesome.
Supernatural
* Rocks fall, nobody dies.
(Uh, the main reason I just posted this list is because I'm hoping that some of you might poke me in a few weeks - once I'm out of school - and tell me to get to work on some of these stories.)
But first, back to school-related work. Such as my two papers that are due tomorrow.
