Grr. Argh.

If one more person tells me that it's my duty as a FHU student to not go see The Golden Compass in theaters because it's horrible and anti-Christian, I swear that I'm going to haul off and punch them. And if I get another invite to one of those "boycott the movie!!!" Facebook groups, I'm seriously going to scream.

(And don't even get me started on the groups that are anti-feminists, anti-Democrats...)

Bah. I'm seriously tempted to go sit down in the middle of the commons and start reading the copy of the book that I checked out from the school library here on campus. It's been awhile since the last time I read the books (and a really long time since the first time I read them, back in fourth grade or so.)

Oh god, what was the public school system thinking letting us kids read books like these? *theatrical gasp* It's horrible I tell you, just horrible. The next thing you know, they'll be letting kids reads books about witches and wizards doing evil witchcrafty things like attending a boarding school in Scotland. Or even worse, making us watch things like vintage Sesame Street that are for adults only. The horror, the horror...

ETA: Um, yeah. It's been one of those days where I just need to rant about something, and I honestly think I'll slam my first into the brick wall again if I even think about the same-sex marriage discussion we had in one of my classes today. So I'll warn you now, that rant's probably coming in a couple of days.
