Okay, I'm almost completely caught up with schoolwork. I still have one thing that I'm trying to finish, but it's not due until 5:00 p.m. tomorrow and it's for a history class. Which means I should have no trouble bluffing my way through it and getting a half-way decent outline together between classes. In theory, at least.
Let's see, I'm behind in several shows at the moment but I'll hopefully be able to get caught up either tonight or tomorrow. That's especially true with Dexter (I'm caught up on Season One, but I haven't had a chance to watch any of the new season yet), NCIS, Pushing Daisies, and Sarah Jane Adventures. I've decided that it'll probably be Thanksgiving beak before I'll have time to really marathon Heroes, so I think I'll be waiting until then to get caught up.
I managed to get my bulletin board finished last night, and it actually turned out pretty well. You definitely can't tell that Drew and I didn't really get started on it until Sunday night, what with him being MIA for over a week. I'll throw up a picture of it once I get one.
For those of you who were wondering, I think I'm going to be Tonks from Harry Potter for Halloween. I really don't have the money to get a costume right now, so I can just use my own clothes and maybe throw a fake wand in my back pocket. *sheepish grin* Oh, who am I kidding? I just want the chance to walk around the FHU campus with bright pink hair. And I really am kinda broke at the moment.
I'm trying to work out the details, but there's a very good chance that I'll be spending spring break next year in London (and other places) for a "class." *cough* The class is pretty much an excuse for a professor to visit the UK every spring. *cough* We'd be seeing a production at Stratford-upon-Avon and visiting some of the various historical places related to literature (it would be an English class, hence that focus), as well as some other things as a group. For three days in the middle of the week, though, it would be free travel. Which means we could pretty much go anywhere or do whatever we want.
I'll have a more definite "yes, I'm going" or "no, it looks like I won't be going" next week after I talk to my adviser about my schedule for next spring. The main thing will be convincing him to help me get permission to take over 20 credit hours - I think that I'd probably need to take about that many during the regular semester (including this trip, which has a class that will meet twice a week for the first half of the semester to pretty much discuss the fun we'll have in London) plus another three hours during the January short course session. It's a little insane, but I think okay, make that hope I could handle it. The main problem will be making sure that none of my required classes will be at the same scheduled time as Literary London (the class for this trip.) *crosses fingers* This will be my last chance to use loan money to go somewhere, and it would be nice to add "United Kingdom" after California and Chicago on my list of "places I went in 2008."
For those of you who were wondering just what new fandom I was going to immerse myself in next, the answer is Dark Angel. I've had some people trying to convince me to watch it for ages since so many actors from my others fandoms were in it (Tony DiNozzo from NCIS, Dean Winchester from Supernatural, David Sinclair from Numb3rs, Peter Grodin from Stargate Atlantis, Felix Gaeta from Battlestar Galactica - hey, it's
Canadian Actor Bingo! :-P), and - since I've finally managed to get my hands on it - it's what I'm going to be watching. I saw the first couple of episodes last week before life got insane, and I'm really enjoying it so far.
babel, I'll try to get an e-mail sent off to you in a little while - hopefully with the story attached this time. *kicks gmail* Hopefully the site will cooperate with me tonight. I have the other one finished, but I just haven't had time to copy it over from my writing notebook yet. That will hopefully get done this weekend.
