School, fandom, work... nothing new.

*glares at paper that's technically due Saturday*

Why won't this stupid thing cooperate? :-/

I've sent Dr. Morris an e-mail asking for an extension, and I really hope that I hear back from him. There's no way I can get this book read and seven 2-to-3 page journals written by Saturday, not if I plan to get any sleep - which is kind of a requirement since I'm working at Shoney's again tomorrow (um, I actually guess it would be today considering the time.) Not to mention the other book that I'm supposed to be reading and reviewing hasn't even arrived at my house yet, even though I ordered it almost two weeks ago. And I've got that 7 page paper that's due in about two weeks that I haven't even picked a topic for yet.

And don't even get me started on fandom-related obligations. *headdesk* Sometimes I'd kill for a big "pause" button that I could push, freezing time for everyone except me. Then I might actually be able to get things done.

Changing subjects slightly, once I get caught up on all of my fandoms (and ficathon stories,) I think that I've figured out which three are moving to the top of my "to watch" list. Heroes, because I think a few of you are going to start with the death threats if I don't start watching it soon; Horatio Hornblower, because I've finally gotten my hands on it after what feels likes ages of waiting; and St. Elsewhere, because how the hell did I not realize how many people were in that show over the years?

I mean, seriously. William Daniels, Ed Begley Jr., Denzel Washington, Howie Mandel, David Morse, Cynthia Sikes, G.W. Bailey, Florence Halop, Mark Harmon, Stephen Furst... the list goes on and on. I knew some of them were in it, but not all of them. And it even have a crossover episode with Cheers! My mom's still sorta gaping that, in twenty years of living with her, I've never seen a single episode of it

Anyway. *cough* I guess Farscape deserves an honorable mention too, since Laura will probably pick right back up on the threatening me as soon as we get back in the dorm room this fall if I don't finish watching it.

Also, while I'm rambling on about real life stuff, my ear still hurts from the "cat + cabinet door = injury" equation from last night. The bruise is still pretty obvious, and - while the swelling's gone down - the area around the newer piercing's still really tender. I still haven't put any earrings back in, because it hurts too much.

Only me, huh?

As much as I love Storm (yes, I named one of my cats after a character from X-Men - this was back in 1996 or so, the comics/animated series were sorta my obsession at the time), I'm seriously considering strangling her at the moment. If I didn't know it would make me sound crazy, I'd say that she did it on purpose to get back at me for kicking her out of my room a couple of nights ago.
