Comics in general...

So, I've noticed that the internet in general seems to be exploding over the latest news from both DC and Marvel. It's kind of sad that my reaction was to roll my eyes and pretty much go back to ignoring that they both exist, isn't it?

Oh, comics. I miss you sometimes, and there are definitely some older series that I go back and re-read fairly regularly from the Big Two. (Blue Beetle v2, Green Lantern Corps v2, Justice League International, Marvel Adventures: Avengers, and X-Factor v3 for the most part.) But no matter how much I try, my interest in reading anything that's currently coming out is less than zero. It's very sad.

I'm honestly not certain how much of it is the actual events that have been happening in the main universes lately (although that's definitely part of it). I think it might just be that my brain just doesn't want to deal with following a billion different series in order to know what's going on, like I used to do. That's definitely part of why I've drifted from the MCU. There are some series/movies that I just have no interest in whatsoever, but I can't just skip them and still watch everything else because the completionist in me won't allow it. So I've just... stopped watching it all.

... admittedly, it might be because my brain has pretty much been completely eaten by Dragon Age lately. Although Critical Role is definitely moving up there.
