And now for a fanfiction-related update...

I managed to finish my story for the Dragon Age Reverse Bang by the deadline, although I ended up cutting it shorter than I wanted. The fic started to take off, to the point where I knew that I wouldn't be able to finish it, so I deleted two scenes that I'd written that were set after a certain point, added an extra scene or two before that part, and ended it there. I'll probably write more in the same 'verse at some point in the future, though, simply because I fell in love with the dorks that I ended up writing it about.

My posting date is in a few days, so I'll post more about it once the fic has been publicly posted. It was definitely fun to write, though. :)

On the Yuletide front, I didn't manage to finish my fic by the end of November as I was hoping (although, fingers crossed, it may end up getting finished this weekend). It's definitely going well, though, and looks like it's going to be quite a bit longer than my stories usually are for this exchange. I've also started working on several treats, to the shock of absolutely no one.

I'm going to do my best to finish all of the treats that I have planned based on the letters post by the main assignment deadline. That way, I'll have time to go through the list of sign-ups once they've been opened up, to see if I can find anything that catches my muse's attention for people who didn't link a letter over in the comm.

Let's see... I've started working on my Holly Poly assignments, but none of them are really all that close to being finished yet. I still have plenty of time before the deadline, though, so I won't seriously start worrying about them until after I get past Yuletide. Unnamed Nonprofit is closed until January 4th, because of the way the holidays fall this year, so I should have plenty of time for writing.

The same goes for Festivids. I didn't actually sign up this year, for a variety of reasons that I've already mentioned in previous posts, but I'm hoping to at least manage a treat or two. I have a few requests bookmarked, but I haven't even thought about trying to vid. That will probably wait until I get back to Maryland after Christmas, during those five or so days that I'll have free before going back to work.

I'm proud of myself. It took a lot of effort, but I didn't sign up for a bunch of Dragon Age exchanges over on Tumblr. (Specifically, ones focusing on several different pairings that I enjoy.) I might finally be learning not to bite off more than I can chew when it comes to holiday exchanges. Says the person who's currently working on something like a dozen fics for Holly Poly and Yuletide alone.
