First of all, thank you to everyone who bought something from my last selling post. Between that post and a couple of household items that I've had sitting in a closet that I stuck up on craigslist, I should have enough to cover the cats' vet appointment tomorrow. Admittedly, I'm not certain how happy the cats will be about that fact, but still.
But, yes, vet appointment tomorrow. Then walking over to city hall during my lunch break on Friday to pay to renew their licenses, since that's the day they expire. Fun times.
Second of all, let's have a cat story! :-P
I totally forgot to mention this when it happened last week, but Tali's learned a new trick. And it honestly explains a few things.
I have a little space heater that I keep beside my computer desk, mainly for times when it's a little chilly outside but I'd rather not turn up the heat if I can help it. (Like, uh, last week. When it dropped into the 30s. In mid-April. When a few days earlier it had been in the 70s. As you do.) Anyway, last week while it was chillier than usual Tali walked up to the heater, pressed the power button to turn it on, and curled up in front of it. All matter-of-fact, like there was nothing even remotely out of the ordinary.
... yeah. Needless to say, I was staring at her with a o_O look on my face the entire time.
I'm not worried or anything. Even if she were to turn it on while I was at work, it's one of those kid-and-pet friendly ones that turns off if it gets tipped over. And the thing is, I'm pretty sure that she has been turning it on while I'm at work. I've never actually walked in and seen it turned on, but there have been several times in the past when I've come home and it's been warmer in the apartment than it really should have been. So now I can't help but wonder just how often an occurrence this has been.
