Spring, oh spring, where are you?
On the positive side, being paid to not be at work will never get old. I mean, seriously, 7+ years of restaurant work has very much taught me to appreciate not having to go into work when the weather is horrible and still being able to pay the bills.
On the negative side, wtf winter? It's the beginning of March, and this is the fifth day we've been off because of snow. And every single one of those days has been either at the end of the week or the beginning of the week, giving us a long weekend. Between snow days and holidays weekends (both of which were made longer than three days because of snow days), we've had something like three full weeks at work since 2014 started. All of the others have, at the very least, had a day when we went in late because of weather.
I'm not even asking for spring. I can live without warm weather. But can we please stop with the snow already? :-/
