Thanks for all the birthday wishes the past few days!
It's been a pretty good week, for the most part. I met up with some friends for lunch last Sunday, as an early birthday celebration, and then on my actual birthday I headed to Gilly's after work. (Two staff members and another regular all had birthdays between the 23rd and the 27th, so the end of February is a popular time.)
I've been enjoying my new computer thoroughly. I spent more time than I should have fiddling around with it last weekend, rather than putting in extra hours with the Part-Time Job, but it was worth it. I'd almost forgotten how much I adore Mass Effect. ♥
Um, let's see. There's some work stuff going on that I need to type up a post about, but I'm not really in the mood for that so it will have to come later.
On the negative side, I think that I've managed to lose one of my
favorite earrings. I've always had an issue with one of them falling out very easily, but I've usually been pretty lucky when it happened. I either heard it hit the ground or it landed in my grocery bag or when I backtracked to the restaurant/store/etc. I'd lost it in someone had turned it in or... well, yeah, like I said. It fell out pretty easily.
Anyway, one of them has disappeared again, and so far I haven't had any luck in finding it. I've checked both the apartment and my car pretty thoroughly, and the two places that I stopped at while wearing them haven't had anyone turn them in yet. I'm still keeping my fingers crossed that it just hasn't been turned in yet, since it's a rather large earring and should be noticed by someone, but I'm well aware that the odds are getting slimmer and slimmer. And I have no idea where I could possibly find a replacement.
... holy shit, it's officially March. I'm moving in my new apartment exactly four weeks from today. That's both awesome and terrifying at the same time.
