I'm very much with you. I thought I'd hate it, because I am not big on sci-fi, but it is ASTONISHINGLY good.

I have to admit, the sci-fi aspect is what drew me to it in the first place. I'm apparently the opposite of you, though, because I'll watch almost anything that's science fiction... even if it's horrible. But, luckily, Mass Effect very much wasn't horrible.

I have discovered that whether I like sci-fi or not has a lot to do with the medium. Video games, shoe-in! TV, depends on the story. Books? Not so much, usually, unless they skim over the science a lot more than most sci-fi books do.

But yes. The Mass Effect series is so well done. <3 <3

Thanks for that. I don't play video games so I only knew the basics, it's nice to know more about it.

If you're ever interested in actually "watching" any of the storylines, this person has set up lots of playlists on YouTube featuring various ones. It's basically like sitting down and watching a movie/miniseries without having to play through yourself.
