Some random updates...

Sadly, I ended up not being able to finish my VidUKon premiere for a variety of reasons. Mostly it involved my computer hating me and Premiere refusing to work properly, but at least some of it stemmed from my brain just not wanting to cooperate.

No idea yet if I'll manage to finish my Club Vivid vid by the deadline. I'd like to, considering I've been working on this thing for four years, but we'll just have to wait and see. Fingers crossed, at least.

I have actually managed to get some fic writing done. Not as much as I would have liked, but still. Every little bit helps, especially when you have multiple deadlines coming up for several different stories in various fandoms.

I've taken a long weekend, so I don't have to go back to work until Wednesday. Tomorrow, my friend Veronica and I are going to go into DC and wander around most of the day. Then, Tuesday, I have a doctor's appointment mid-afternoon but plan on spending the rest of the day working on fic and the like.

It's really kind of sad just how much I needed a couple of days off work. :-/

Um, let's see. I'm way behind on Tumblr, and I think that I'm going to stop trying to keep caught up. I just can't. It takes 3-5 hours every night just to catch up on the past 24 hours, and if I miss a single day (which, you know, happens sometimes because I have other things to do) - or gods help me, more than one day - then it can take me weeks to finally get caught up. And the way my brain works, I either have to get 100% caught up or I have to purposely not even try. There's no middle ground.

So, yeah, I think that Tumblr and I are going to take a break for now. I'll probably still take a look at some pretty fanart for The Hobbit, but I just can't keep up. It's like Twitter - it moves too fast for me to keep caught up, and for me it's all or nothing.

I've got to stop putting it off and finish typing up a For Sale post. I really need to clean out some of my books, both for "I'm broke" reasons as well as "seriously, there are so many books in this apartment that we can't see the carpet anymore" reasons, and it will be better in the long run if I stop dawdling and just get it done with. Wish me luck?

Work's been okay, for the most part. A little stressful at times for a variety of reasons, and I know that we're all waiting to find out if they're actually going to do the annual performance reviews at some point. It's still approximately five billion times better than working at the Restaurants of Doom or FAIL, though, so that's definitely a positive.
