The Annual Beta Search!
It's that time of year, when I sign up for five billion fic exchanges (+ one vid exchange) and flail wildly as I try to finish stories for all of them! Fun times, fun times! :-P
So... what I'm going to do is throw out a some fandoms (or, in a few cases, specific pairings) in a vague bunch so that, theoretically, people won't be able to figure out what I'm writing. If you think that you might be able to take a look at a story from that fandom, please let me know. For any of these, please feel free to give more specifics (i.e., I can't read anything that features [insert character here], or I'm only familiar with Marvel Comics canon from 1988-1993 and then only the X-Titles).
First of all, let's focus on
3_ships! Does anyone think they might be able to beta a threesome fic for any of the following fandoms?
Angel, Babylon 5, Black Ships, Buffy the Vampire Slayer, DC Comics (non-DCnU), Doctor Who, Firefly, Hand of Isis, Harry Potter, Hunger Games, Leverage, Lord of the Rings, Marvel Cinematic Universe, Marvel Comics, Merlin, NCIS, Once Upon a Time, Sherlock, Stargate Atlantis, Stargate SG-1, Star Trek (2009), Star Trek: Deep Space Nine, Star Trek: Enterprise, Star Trek: The Next Generation, Star Trek: The Original Series, Star Trek: Voyager, Star Wars, Stealing Fire, Supernatural, Torchwood, or White Collar.
I made a post about my boostlethon fic awhile back, but - since I've, uh, failed to finish it yet (it's top priority this weekend) - if you missed it and are familiar with any incarnation of Blue Beetle (Dan Garrett, Ted Kord, or Jaime Reyes) or Booster Gold (Michael Carter) from DC Comics? And think you might be able to beta a fic about them? Please feel free to poke your head over into this post and let me know.
As usual, I've signed up for the annual cap_ironman exchange. My story will either be Steve/Tony or Steve&Tony. The universe options that I might be writing for are Earth-616 (main continuity), Marvel Cinematic Universe, Marvel Adventures, 1602, Noir, Earth-3490 (the canon AU where Steve Rogers marries Natasha Stark), or Avengers: Earth's Mightiest Heroes (cartoon series).
For yuletide purposes, I know that several people on my circle/friends list are familiar with the fandom that I'm writing this year. I'll probably be sending out a few private messages in the next couple of days, trying to find someone who can help me out beta-wise. Otherwise, I'll make a post looking for a general beta who isn't necessarily familiar with the fandom.
