If you haven't heard, Sean Maher has officially come out.
This post is well over a year old, but it's really only been spreading through fandom recently from what I've seen. If you're a Babylon 5 fan, one of the artists for the show has posted some interesting facts and pictures about filming the pilot.
For those of you who are, uh, less-than-thrilled with DCnU's most recent depiction of Starfire in Red Hood and the Outlaws, check out this comic. Yes. Just, yes.
When it comes to the upcoming Batman movie, they've released pictures of Anne Hathaway dressed as Catwoman. *tilts head* It's not quite what I was expecting.
On a similar note...
So do all of you remember the vid that broke Vividcon? No, not the Up one. The Smallville one with the unicorns and Catbaby and angel!Clark and surprise!Batman. *waits* Yes? Well, now they've written fic.

In other, non-fannish news, I've actually bought new stuff for my bedroom over the past week. It only took me a year-and-a-half, but I finally have curtains on my window! And shelves in my bathroom! And new sheets, pillows, comforter, etc. for my bed! Ones that I haven't had since high school!
Unfortunately, I have a feeling that the mini-fridge in my room is dying on me. I've been having trouble with the door not wanting to close properly since before I ever left Tennessee, and the freezer's been completely icing over every couple of days even when I have it turned to the least cold setting possible. I'm going to hate to see it go, since it really is convenient to have one in here, but I really don't use it enough to justify buying a new one when/if it explodes on me. I'll have to buy a cheap table or something to replace it, since I keep some things (like my alarm clark) on top of it, but I'm hoping it will keep running for a little longer.
On the work front... it's going to be an interesting week.
The important thing is that I was off work today. All but one of the servers scheduled to work today called me to ask if I'd be willing to pick up their shift. (I suspect that the Cowboys vs. Redskins game that's currently going on probably had a lot to do with most of those requests.) I told them all "hell no," though I did agree to work tomorrow night for Server JC. He, uh, kind of got hammered, went chasing after a moving car (yeah, I have no idea :-/), fell, and basically smashed the hell out of his face. We're talking two black eyes, bruises, cuts, stitches... needless to say, he won't be at work this week.
So, on the positive side, I'm only working four days this week: tomorrow, Wednesday, Thursday, and Saturday. I'm off today, Friday, and Sunday.
On the negative side, I'm now a double shift all four of those days. Three of which involve me going in an hour or two before the restaurant even opens to set up for a private event that I'm working. So even though I'm only working four days, I'll be lucky if I end up working less than forty-five to fifty hours.
But, hey, three days off! I'm willing to put up with a lot of shit if General Manager S will bribe me with three days off in a week. \o/
