I finally got my invite. \o/
My wand: ash with dragon core, twelve and a half inches, unyielding.
My house: Slytherin.
I've always thought of myself as a Ravenclaw with Slytherin-like tendencies, but it looks like the Sorting Hat thinks I'd make a better Slytherin. Amusingly enough, back in college that was the house most of the history majors (at least, those of us geeky enough to be in the history club) embraced. We all referred to our fearless leader Dr. M as "Professor Snape" behind his back to his face. I was pretty much the only one who protested that, no, I didn't really think I was Slytherin, I just hung out with them... and, yet, here I am. :-P
