Earlier today, I spent a little while cleaning up my fic bookmarks on delicious. Out of curiosity, I looked up a handful of stats, just to see what kind of stories I have bookmarked there. It was a little surprising.
I have 4166 fics currently bookmarked, in 224 different fandoms (not counting the various canon universes involved with DC and Marvel Comics, including movies and TV series based on them - it would then be somewhere between 230 and 238 depending on how much you break it down). 263 of those fics are crossovers, featuring 124 different fandom combinations; some of these do include crossovers between spin-offs and related series, such as the various Star Trek series or Doctor Who and/or Torchwood and/or the Gallifrey audio series by Big Finish.
Genre-wise, I have 2399 stories tagged as gen, 1120 tagged as slash, 737 tagged as het, 161 tagged as femslash, 122 tagged as threesome, and 5 tagged as foursome. 13 are tagged as incest (several of which are technically canon pairings), and 2 are tagged as selfcest (oh, fandoms that have canon time travel and/or clones). Please note that some of these stories include, for example, both femslash and het; hence the total being higher than the actual number of bookmarks.
When it comes to ratings, 446 are rated G, 1699 are rated PG, 1196 are rated PG-13, 390 are rated R, and 396 are rated NC-17. I'm not even going to try to break down wordcounts more than this: the shortest fic I have bookmarked is 100 words, and the longest (non-virtual series, non-WIP) is between 350,000 and 399,999 words.
