On the Avengers: Earth's Mightiest Heroes front, new episodes won't actually be airing in the United States until the Thor movie comes out next month. They are, however, already airing in Australia - a new one every day, Monday through Friday, through this week at least and potentially continuing next week (and so on

Yeah, i'm loving that new ThunderCats trailer. I was a major watcher of that and Silverhawks during their original runs too. Cheetarah was no small influence on my love of the Bo Staff. Between her and Donatello in TMNT, i got very fond of it as a weapon. ^^;;

They also got the original voice of Lion-O from the 80s to voice Claudus,Lion-O's father. Lion-O himself? Will Friedle. Which makes me grin like mad, because i loved his work as Terry McGinnis in Batman Beyond. Voice wise? this looks great, along with the visuals.

I also love that we're getting a more solid background to the wars that exiled them to Third Earth in the original show. But mostly the editing on that second trailer? OMG. If the editing crew did it as well as they did that trailer, we've got something good on our hands. Possibly to be nearly as epic as Samurai Jack was in terms of awesome. So here's hoping!

The downtime? annoying, but i've got an account at AO3 as well as Dreamwidth now. I do need to start posting stuff up at those places too, besides here.I've been here 8 years now, i'm pretty happy with the place despite the yearly upheavals of drama and whatnot. *grin* LJ never fails me for fandom.

I was a huge ThunderCats fan as a kid (hell, my online name stems from a very detailed RPG that my brother and I came up with based on the series), so I was thoroughly expecting to hate this new series. But it looks good. I wasn't expecting that.
