RL Update
I was good and actually acted like a mature adult today. :)
Well, half the day, at least. There's a slight possibility that I slept for thirteen or so hours straight and didn't actually wake up until mid-afternoon. But, hey, I think that having a minor breakdown at work is probably a sign that getting some sleep would be a good thing. Time change or no time change.
Anyway, as I was saying, I've actually tried to be an adult today and accomplished some things. I got my hair cut, made an appointment for Tuesday morning to get new glasses, washed clothes, washed dishes, cleaned up the remains of the crock pot incident from last week (for those of you who don't follow me on Twitter,
pocketmouse filled one of our crock pots - yes, we have multiple ones - a little fuller than expected before leaving for work, and we ended up with a nice surprise all over the counter, and the floor, and possibly a bit of the wall when we both got home from work that night), and balanced my checkbook. All that I have left is to make an appointment for my yearly exam with Dr. B, take out the recyclables and trash again, and, sometime in the next couple of days, actually go to a store to look for that furniture
pocketmouse and I keep meaning to buy for the apartment.
Well, I also need to finally do something with the old microwave and computer that's been sitting in the corner of the dining room since before
inlovewithnight moved out. Apparently ignoring them and hoping they'll mysteriously disappear all on their own isn't a viable plan. Who knew?
(Oh, and I also made sure that my Guy Gardner action figure is watching my Blue Beetle and Booster Gold action figures make out on the TV stand in the living room. That counts as being an adult, right?)
On the vividcon front, I signed up, received my confirmation e-mail from svmadelyn, and sent them money, so that's all taken care of already. Now I just need to convince Premiere to cooperate so that I can finish my Club Vivid vid, figure out what the hell I want to attempt for Premieres this year, find roommates (Anyone looking? I'm willing to bribe with action figures, as always.), and convince myself that trying to do a Challenge vid as well would not be a good decision.
In other, less trivial news, thank you everyone who texted, called, tweeted, e-mailed, commented, and/or sent Facebook messages letting me know that honorh was safe and sound. I really appreciate it. ♥
