Yes, I *should* be vidding right now...

I'm taking a short break from vidding to give my brain time to start working again (don't hurt me,
kuwdora!). So I decided to catch up on reading my LiveJournal friends list that I, uh, haven't read since Saturday night. Which ended up being at ?skip=2500 once I added up all the filters.

... no, I'm not making that number up. Oi.

• If you haven't heard, lightning struck three Chicago buildings at the same time. Did any of you Chicago people on my friends list see a tall man carrying a hockey stick running around during the storm? He might possibly have been with a short blonde woman, a rather good-looking vampire, a dog approximately the same size as a small horse, and/or a mob boss.
• People have been making all sorts of posts explaining things about Australian politics and how it's the same/different than other countries. It's really fascinating to me.
• If you've never seen Star Trek: Deep Space Nine, this post might possibly convince you to give it a shot. Trust me, it's worth it. ♥
• Jason Mamoa makes a very pretty Conan.
• So apparently ThinkGeek got a cease & desist letter? In regards to their canned unicorn meat April Fools' joke? Hee!
• Why is Doctor Who so awesome? Let the Venn diagram explain.
• If you're not sure why so many people are talking about boycotting the Avatar: The Last Airbender movie that's coming out in a few days, please check out this post.

In other news, I got a haircut between shifts yesterday. It's... short. Even for me, I mean. I like it, and it's a lot cooler considering the 100+ degree temperature outside (not to mention easier to deal with, since I can literally run my fingers through it and it's dry), but... really, really, really short.

Now, back to frantically vidding. If anyone wants to laugh at threaten talk to me, I'll probably be lurking in the #vidding IRC chatroom all night even if no one else is there. I have almost 24 hours left until the deadline. I can do this. Maybe.
