Um, yes. Sorry about all the negativity lately?
It's just been a bad few weeks. I mean, first there was Snowmageddon, which basically locked us in the apartment for a week because leaving wasn't an option. Not to mention it threw off my job hunting plans in a major way, since (obviously) most places weren't worried too much about hiring new people when they couldn't even open because of snow. Factor in my monthly bills and school loan payments adding up quickly, and that's been causing some stress.
My muse hasn't been cooperating even remotely, and it's really not a good time for that to happen. Usually when I'm stressed, I churn out fic or fiddle with Premiere, and I hadn't realized quite how much I needed that de-stressor until it wasn't there.
Plus various relatives have started sending me daily e-mails (and semi-regular phone calls) basically saying: "So, do you have a job yet? No? Well, maybe you should have listened to us and never left Tennessee." Which, you know, not helpful.
But, yes, I'm hoping things will get better. I pulled out Ōkami and finally hooked up my PS2 for the first time in months, and I've been piddling about on Neopets for the last few hours. My muse might not be cooperating at the moment, but I've been re-reading some more Marvel comics in hopes that will push it back into gear. And the new issue of X-Factor comes out tomorrow, which usually makes me smile. I also have plans for Friday that I'm hoping will help put me in a slightly better mood and possibly even answer some questions I've been having for a while.
So basically? I'll try to stop with the frustrated "unemployment sucks" posts; or at the very least, limit the number a bit. I mean, really, I'm just stating the obvious.
