I'm still alive, despite rumors to the contrary...

I've basically been unpacking and cleaning out my room since Saturday (minus yesterday, which was spend in Nashville because of a doctor's appointment), though it's only started looking like a room again today. Since I'm hoping to find a job come January (and therefore have to move out fairly quickly), I've been going through my things and cleaning out some of the stuff that's been hiding under my bed since junior high.

. . . you think I'm kidding? I wouldn't be surprised if I found Amelia Earhart under there before I'm finished.

I should be starting back at Shoney's on Thursday - and boy am I looking forward to that bit of fun - so I'm going to try to finish up my yuletide and 3_ships stories either tonight or tomorrow. Not to mention the Crossover O' Doom, which will be posted before the end of 2008 even if it kills me.

Let's see. What am I forgetting? Have any of you heard about the Tennessee town that basically shut down because of a bomb threat? Yeah, three guesses what small TN town I happen to live in. My poor mom was in lock-down for hours starting around lunchtime (she works in a local government building), and the plans I had to go by Shoney's to pick up my schedule for the week pretty much died since it's across the street from Wal-Mart. Right beside the high school, actually, where the teachers/students also had a very fun day.

Oh yeah, apparently Whitney (my former RA at school) and I are going to Europe for at least a few weeks in 2010 as long as the world's still standing in two years and the exchange rate won't kill us dead by that point. We'd kind of half-heartedly been talking about it for awhile (mostly hypothetical "maybe someday" conversations), but now that I've graduated she's jumping headfirst into making plans. If she's still this gung-ho about it in a couple of months, I'll let myself actually start seriously thinking about where I'd like to go.

real life: bomb threat, real life: bedroom, job: restaurant of doom, friend: whitney, real life: european trip
