I'm gonna switch it up juuuust a little and do fanfics I've written and some other fanworks I've created in different mediums. I've...done a lot of stuff over the years...
Also, writing about why I'm recommending stuff of my own is hard >< But I'm trying!
1.) Done With Endings / On The Other Side

Summary: Sometimes, it takes a second chance to get it right.

Technically a two part series (consisting of two one shots), though I've left it marked as incomplete because I keep telling myself I might write more within the universe of it. Anyway, I love reincarnation AUs - so I tend to write a lot of them - but this is some of my strongest writing of any of them. It's also a bit of a love letter to the best parts of my relationship, but I'm not sorry for how sappy that is.

Summary: Hakuryuu is a busy man with a respectable life, which doesn't always leave time for him to visit his vaudeville performer boyfriend in the sketchy end of town. Judal, however, has his own unique ways of persuading his stuffy boy-toy to come over.
Warnings: trans Judal, 1920s AU, mentions of violence and murder
This is what happens when I listen to the Chicago soundtrack on repeat and think of Hakuryuu in sock garters :D I feel like it's underappreciated but fuck it, it's one of my favorite fics. I mixed snark and grittiness, and got something fun and weird (aka the best shit). Apologies to no actual mentions of Hakuryuu in sock garters: I forgot XD

Summary: If you fall in love with the nightshade fairy and accidentally smoke too many asthmatic cigarettes, you might have to attend your own funeral.
Warnings: period-typical/medicinal drug use, fae & fairies, 1900s AU, oral sex, major character death, death with a happy ending
This is...kind of a weird fic, but don't let the "major character death" tag scare you off. It's set in a world where magic is real if you just know where to look, and once you find it, even death won't stop you. I've played up most of Judal's weirdest points but it works for him here (since he's some kind of strange drug/poison fairy).
4.) A Bit of Blackened Fate

Summary: When Hakuryuu stumbles upon an odd antiques shop, he ends up with far more than he bargained for: a curse, another side of the world he'd never known, and an eccentric shopkeeper who has taken quite a shine to him.
Warnings: canon-typical violence/magical violence, urban fantasy, modern au, action & romance, slow burn
I don't super know how to recommend this, since it's my longest fic (and the only truly incomplete one of mine that I'm gonna rec). This means I'm just, so proud of it, and the fantasy world I've created. It's very much inspired by the mood and themes of Pet Shop of Horrors with a dash of Supernatural-ish monster of the week + ongoing themes. I've fallen out of the habit of updating weekly, but I do have the rest of it outlined and planned! I just gotta write it XD
5.) Missed Connections

Rating: G
Word count: 340
Summary: Roxas knew, somehow, from the moment they met. Not love at first sight, but familiarity.
Warnings: reincarnation AU, modern AU
"Just" a drabble, but I didn't think it needed to be any longer to tell its story. I've got a soft spot for the akuroku trope of finding each other in the next life, and this is the best I've done with it (so far!).

Ahhh, I remember when I cosplayed more frequently...good times! I'm incredibly proud of this ridiculous wig!!! And this was featured in a Japanese cosplay magazine, so that was a very cool accomplishment.

I'm a dirty, dirty homestuck and I'll never change XD The setting for this shoot was perfect - we found a 50-styles diner in Sandusky, Ohio!!! - and my Cronus makeup was on point (thanks to
arahith). Still proud of this whole cosplay!! I think it's my best Homestuck one in general.

I did two different juhaku fanmixes but this one's my fave, so it's the one I'm gonna rec :D I wanted to make something angrier, grittier, and more energetic than a lot of the mixes I had seen/heard already. It's like stepping into Hot Topic circa 2006, but with (slightly) more modern songs.
