Earthquakes and DCUO!
We had an earthquake at ABOUT one in the morning. It was a 4.5. It was apparently centered close to my town, so we got it pretty big. It woke me up and while it didn't freak me out it DID wake up me pretty solid. I felt two aftershocks. Very tiny, but still there, still enough to make me wonder if a bigger one was coming.
At the very least it didn't shut off the power or knock the net out, because, through some MINOR MIRACLE, my PS3 kept on downloading DCUO. I couldn't sleep after the earthquake. I tried to watch tv (damned Nick at Night was only showing My Wife and Kids), Hallmark was showing Who's The Boss, but they also show those DAMNED HUMANE SOCIETY COMMERCIALS! I really do not need to see those things while I am trying to sleep. It's traumatic.
So, at about 3, DCUO downloaded, and I was STILL up (I don't like that I was up, but what can you do?), so I made me a character. Rune was taken, so I went with Runic. He's a magic user who can fly. I was only able to play for about 30 minutes. I could have played longer, but I really did want to come into work today since I don't want to call in if I'm not sick. I'm not sure how I feel about it yet, but I haven't had enough time to sink my teeth into it. I hope it isn't like EQ where I get addicted. I want to tell myself that I'm better than that now, that I know better. Let's hope I'm right.
