I guess upfronts start today? That's what it looks like according to yahoo's entertainment news. Today is supposedly NBC's upfront, which is pretty much the network I care the least about (even less than CW. They're at least giving me Reaper right now, and possibly Colin Egglesfield in new-Melrose assuming it gets picked up...), but once one network has their upfront, the other networks follow. Besides, even NBC could possibly throw something my way that actually might be *gasp* appealing. You never know. I mean, they did host Golden Girls and Will & Grace, so they're obviously not all bad.
ABC will probably have a lock for Lauren Graham's new show. If there's one thing I'm willing to do, it's give Lauren Graham the time of day all the time. I don't know about the rest, really. I've seen some blurbs about the pilots that are running around, but I can't say that I really paid that much attention to them. Once they're given a slot on the upfronts, then I pay attention.
Brothers & Sisters: DO NOT WANT JUSTIN/REBECCA MARRIAGE!!!!! It. Is. Wrong!!!!!! Justin's speech was touching, out of context. In context it just made me shiver. I'm not going to get over the whole 'hey, for the better part of the year I thought you were my sister, but you're not and now I'm going to marry you and possibly make a baby with you!' thing anytime soon. I also don't want poor man's Edward Cullen (Ryan. Seriously, he's just ick because of his greasy hair and pale face. Cut the hair, it'll help!) around unless he actually does something of merit. This Sunday's episode is the last of the season. Sigh.
Non-TV related news: Today is the first day that I don't go in at 7:30 to unload all the shit that was made on Saturday. I'm not sure Darcie (my work's version of "the master") is aware of it. I don't think she is. Which means she'll pitch a fit, but that's not my problem. So, in honor of not having to go and work for her, I'm going to see if I can get some donuts and bring them to work for all my coworkers. Celebratory! Assuming the donut place by work is still around. It might not be. If not, I just have to go to McDonalds for myself. I'd rather get food for my coworkers. I've always wanted to get them food, because sometimes they bring food for us and I should repay the favor.
I've been looking at rates for hotels, and given that I have to stay there like 4 days, it's looking like it will cost an arm and a leg. I think I might just bite down and stay with my uncle. I don't really *want* to, but I also do not want to have to spend 700 dollars on a room. The cheaper rooms all imply that they're extremely close to the train tracks. Again: do. not. want.
Damned party. Why'd it have to be on Saturday!?
