Made it to Visalia.
Someday I'll babble about the whole freaking day and work and all that, for now...
It took a lot of carefully navigating my mother through things. She ended up deciding not to let me drive my car down, which meant no music for me. And also didn't put me on the rental car, which meant trying not to backseat drive through San Jose and three hours to Visalia. Luckilly being the navigator meant front seat privalages. And I did get a whole 6 songs into the Across the Universe soundtrack before my mom got distracted and Arella took over my Auxillary input cable.

I also learned that I am by far the most competent of the four of us at:
-airport parking, check-in and security
-boarding and gate protocol
-map-based navigation in unknown and semi-known areas
-reading signs to assist in the above
-hotel location and identification
I'm not bragging. In fact, I think it's a little sad. I'm the one that doesn't wear glasses even thought I 'should' and I was the one spotting and interpreting signs faster than the others including the driver. >.>

I'm pretty comfortable and efficient in airports and I think that's rare... and maybe why I seem to need less time for airport checkout-etc than most people.

I won't be working on Kagetoki tonight because I'm exhausted and it's 12:30 here, 1:30 at home.
But... whatever. Sleep now, productivity later.
However, there is /always/ time for Yasuka.

[Edit 9 AM PST: Failed to post last night. Now we're getting up and getting ready to leave. My circulation sucks right now and I didn't sleep very well last night, but such is life.]
