I'm making posts to TeniMyu, etc. about how to DL this show and things, so I'm posting commentary, etc here for reference.
Again, the themes of this drama are very intentionally "Forbidden Love" themes. Be prepared.
This Drama has Four Arcs.
"Tsubasa no Kakera" - Episodes 1-3
Featuring: Juri (Akutsu), Shiozaki Airu (Dabide) and Yanagishita Tomo (3rd/4td Gen Kaidoh)
Warnings: BL/Shounen Ai/Yaoi and messy love triangles
Tsubasa (Tomo) is an art student in college. As the son of a famous sculptor, he is targeted by bullies. Once, when they threaten him he is 'saved' by Ryo (Ire), who promptly runs off without giving him more than his name. In the aftermath of that attck, Tsubasa meets Cain (Juri) a seemingly free-spirited artist living in a dorm on campus who starts to make him think about some memories that he'd tried to leave buried.
There are heavy art and Greek mythology themes this arc. Specifically Tsubasa is compared with Icarus. (You can imagine where this goes)
"Seifuku no Eve" - Episodes 4-6
Featureing: Doesn't feature any of the boys that I'm aware of.
Warnings: Girl's Love/yuri/shoujo ai
Story: Takes place at an all girls high school.
Themes: Mostly this arc explores the boundaries of admiration and friendship.
"Sayonara no Melody" - Episodes 7-9
Featuring: Shoiozawa Hidemasa (Mizuki) and Morimoto Ryoji (played Taka-san once in the reprise of the first musical) with /tiny/ guest appearances by Baba Tooru (Yagyuu) as a member of Kazu's band.
Warnings: sibling love/kyoudai ai. If you watched "Boku wa Imouto ni Koi wo Suru", this is much tamer, but if it's a sensitive topic or offensive to you, I'd suggest skipping.
Story: Kazu (Shiozawa) is a popular idol (or was in his school days, and has gone off to America to make a name for himself. The story takes place when he returns to visit his sister in Japan. Shio does sing a lot though, which is awesome.
"Unmei no Kodou" - Episodes 10-12
Featuring: Kawai Ryunosuke (Hiyoshi) and D-Boys member Kumai Kouhei. Also, guest appearances by Moriyama Eiji (1st Gen Momo)
Warnings: BL/Shounen Ai/Yaoi
Story: This arc is the hardest to understand, even for me, because so much of it is mature psycology and medical terminology.
I can re-watch these and give actual more detailed summaries and character names if anyone cares. Just let me know.
[ETA: There is a torrent that is still active for this series over here:
on AsiaTorrent. This is still the same unsubbed raw that I originally downloaded, which means that they are .rmvb (RealPlayer) files. I am still on a quest for something better or subbed.]
