Aziraphale wasn't sure whether the fact it was Crowley who broke into his shop made him feel more or less cautious, but he unfolded the note anyway.
I was passing through South America -- already Aziraphale knew this had not ended well for someone -- (and before you assume something horrible happened because I visited, let me reassure you no minimal damage was done. The tribal war that broke out was sadly not of my doing or the resulting flooding, all I did was possibly add a few species of fish to the endangered species list) and on my way I saw this, and thought you might enjoy it.
Then at the bottom there was a scrawl that looked like it might have been a signature, before it seemed to die a painful death. Aziraphale set the letter aside, and he turned towards the box.
In the box was a stack of papers, and as he slowly started to leaf through them, he realized it was a written collection of prophecies. Prophecies written by a shamanic family over dozens of generations. Prophecies that were closer to accurate than not. Prophecies that went missing and probably had some part in causing the 'tribal war' Crowley mentioned.
The good, angelic thing to do would be to return it as soon as possible, as well as try to clear up whatever mess Crowley made.
But the sign in the corner of the window said that the shop didn't close until much later that evening, and Aziraphale was too good an angel to close his shop earlier than scheduled. So really, the best, angelic thing to do would be to return the prophecies as soon as possible... after he closed down the shop.
