Yet another reason for me to hate Berkeley.
So I was reading cnn. I cam across this article.

And boy did it piss me off. You know I'm mad cause I'm posting. I only do that when I'm upset. Think what you want about the war in Iraq. But it is not the fault of the people fighting. It is a policy decision. Targeting those who are or are willing to serve their country in this capacity is just crazy to me. It harkens back to people protesting those veterans returning from Vietnam. Come to think of it I bet a bunch of them where from Berkeley as well. I just don't understand. And I know that recruiters lie to get people to enlist. I also know that the military has tried to curb that. But the long and the short of it is that we live in a world that requires a military. In order to have a military you need to recruit. Why badger these people for doing what is already a hard job? I served in the military, and my service was super easy. I got off light and sometimes I feel ashamed that I call myself a veteran. I appreciate what these men and women are doing for us. Even if the policies are misguided. If you don't like what the military is doing you really need to take it up with the politicians not the soldier in the mud, or in this case the recruiter in his office. Don't these protesters have something better to do with their time? Fuck them. And Fuck Berkeley for passing that damn ordinance. What a crock of shit.
