Um, so, then I decided to write like 5K of genderswap. Fair warning, I think that genderswap with this particular pairing can be Tricky Business, so I attempted to go someplace a little different than the usual genderswap plotline (e.g. Girl is Hot, Boy Likes Hot Girl, Boy Realizes He Still Likes Hot Girl After She Turns Back Into A Boy). Okay, so I barely even know who these two dudes are, but it's you so I
was like, "oh, hey, why not?"

I'm so glad I did! I love the easy familiarity the two of them have, an unstated but very, very present affection. I like that the point of the story is how their relationship isn't different even though one of them suddenly (but not alarmingly) has a vagina. The genderswap itself is a very minor thread.

Totally my goal (that is, not to have the genderswap be the whole story!) so I am extra thrilled that that worked out. :* Thank you extra, man!

So, gender-swap isn't my thing, except in special circumstances. These? ARE THE SPECIAL CIRCUMSTANCES.

Their love just shines through this story in a gloriously happy-making way, and I want to roll around in the layers of richness and detail you've given to life at the cabin. Really, really wonderful work.

I felt like normal genderswap was kind of epic fail with Adam and Kris, so. Uh. Special genderswap? QUIRKY genderswap? Not really genderswap? WHATEVER. At least it worked. :D
