4:15am- Discover flat tire. Drive to S.A. Discover -14degrees below zero
Irreparable tire.
4:30am- Call roadside assistance that I apparently don't have. Yes I'll pay $2fucking dollars per month for it. Why was I unsubscribed?
-$75 towing fee
No, I'm not waiting 2hrs at an S.A. Take a cab back to work (5 blocks away).
Yes I have a spare, no I'm not risking getting hypothermia and not being able to change a tire on an already-bent tire rim.
At least -24 windchill.
Yes I might need my car today to drive to get my goddamn W-2 from my former employer's late-ass accounting department.
6:30am- I need to run (RUN!) 5 blocks back to the S.A. because they apparently need my keys to tow my car (people tow cars all the time without keys. Why now?!?)
I almost get run over / crushed shins via a metal dolly flying out of some store along the way.
Very disagreeable towtruck driver.
I ask, "Is the place we're going to even open?"
Truck driver: "It doesn't matter to me!"
Horrid look on my face. Not getting stuck in the cold behind closed doors in some place I know nothing about - "Inver Grove Heights".
Jump out at Dale and Grand, run into work.
The alarm is going off because the door wasn't shut properly. Send text to bosses. Bursting bladder.
I need to leave this piece of hell for a few days. Or something.
