Toying with this new plan for calendars... I've used iCal for awhile now, but I started looking into Google Calendars (as its integrated with my GMail). I like the idea of having my calendar available anywhere i go. But then, on the other hand, If i have it on my laptop in iCal, i dont need the internet to access it. I can see both having their

You can export ical to google calendar.

They don't talk because you ahve to do the update each time. But it's close enough.

Not sure about iCal but I sync my google calendar and my thunderbird calendar with a plugin called provider. Check this site out for more info: http://lifehacker.com/399407/how-to-sync-any-desktop-calendar-with-google-calendar
