Sometimes God touches people in interesting ways. This is a letter from my group's peer leader to the group. Basically it says everything I've tried to say over the years. Finally someone is taking over =)
Let's be bold and do something about something instead of nothing about everything.
Hi all,
I'll be very blunt about this issue. I'm bloody disappointed at the
turnout at last week's service. And so was Jem and Alex. The only
people who were there on Sunday were Jem, Alex and Chua. Granted if
you had something on or fell sick but 3 people turning up is simply
pathetic.
I know some of you might say "Eh, got no group time then go for what".
But seriously, Sunday service is an important part of your spiritual
life whether you like it or not and you shouldn't simply cast it aside
just because you had a late night, God knows doing what, and just
because you can't wake up at 8am to dress up well enough to come to
church. Honestly, I don't care what you did the night before, but I
care about the spiritual welfare or even physical welfare of all of you.
You guys tell me that you wanna grow grow grow, then just because
there's no group time, you'll just throw Sunday service down the
drain. If growing was to be clearly defined, it most certainly isn't
sleeping in on service and having a nonchalant attitude about TTB
service or even group time.
Please, I plead with all of you, do take both Sunday service and group
time seriously and make a conscientious effort to grow, just like how
all of you have said you WANT to grow.
I just have to say my piece and I know even I skip service because I
sleep in at times. But I think this has to come to a stop because
we've been sleeping in for far too long.
I hope to see all of you on Sunday and we can have a great time of
lunch together, and of course, bridge or tai dee.
I love you all very much,
Regards,
Kenneth
