I will Survive?
Today I learnt what is called "Survival Literature"
I wonder what is the purpose of this genre; Is it meant to inspire? Or disturb? Or... I don't know. I believe its existence brings value to people because at least it reminds us that there are atrocities out there which are sometimes beyond our imagination.
But can you still believe statements like "All parents love their children" after you know that some mother somewhere knowingly, intentionally and irrationally tortured her child?
I still believe that life is pretty simple; it's just people who like to complicate things. Though Survival Literature compels me to re-examine my beliefs at a much deeper level.
