Pregnancy is ALWAYS an issue with regard to massage.
It is NEVER not an issue.
A "regular" massage can cause uterine contractions, encouraging the uterus to expel whatever is in it, which is generally not advised for a pregnant woman who is not in labor.
1st trimester: NO massage.
2nd and 3rd: Only from a massage therapist who is certified in pre-natal work. Which, just btw, I am not.
Note: I was going to preface this for men, because so far, ime, it's the men who schedule massages for pregnant women never thinking that it is an issue. But really, better to everyone to know.
