(
he has a better smile in the picture with my mom)
Father Danh is going to a new parish in July after 4 years here. On Monday (6/8), my mom and I went to church thinking we might see him at daily Mass (she always goes on Monday anyway for the lectio divina group) and I could give him
the painting I did for him in person, but it turned out that there was a funeral, so that changed our plans. I dropped off the present at the office. I hoped to see him sometime before he left, so I could hear what he thought about it. I think I'm really going to miss him.
Then on Saturday (6/13), Father Danh said Mass~ Which meant I got a good long chance to talk to him afterward! He really liked the pictures. He mentioned that he hoped that someday in the future he might come back to be pastor at St. Nicholas. We told him that would be awesome. ...because it would be. :D
So today (6/15), my mom went to daily Mass like usual (I was at home sleeping)...and Father Danh (who usually sings at daily Mass, unlike the other priests)...came out...singing...with a guitar. *_* ...so he plays the guitar and gets everyone to sing "Here I Am, Lord." Well, then at the end he mentions that someone
gave him a picture of St. Francis playing the guitar (X_x) and he plays and sings the whole song of St. Francis. ...My mom said after all this she was rather distracted during the lectio divina. (*lol*)
Ha, ha, ha. So don't mind me. I'll just be over here going insane. alkdjfalkhgah;
Okay, that's what's on my mind.

On Saturday (6/6), a new priest just ordained earlier that day said his first Mass at our church. Father Anthony is the first parishioner of St. Nicholas to be ordained a priest. It was a neat Mass- and I've never seen so many priests all together at once (something like 12 priests, 2 deacons, and our resident seminarian)! It was really awesome, in my opinion. I felt like I was at a wedding. ^^; It was also really long though... Father Martin (don't know him) gave the homily first in Vietnamese and then in English...and it was 13 minutes each time. : / But I felt really happy for Father Anthony, and the Vietnamese choir sang some songs (which were great- they're so cool), so I was happy~

My cosplay work is going just fine. I made two bags to carry my things in (one to match each costume), so I wouldn't be carrying my usual well-worn blue purse (made for me by my mom).
As far as Fenimore goes, I'm just waiting for my wig to arrive. I'm waiting for Iris' wig too, and all the main parts of her costume are done, but I still have to make her magatama necklace and the decoration/tie on her hood.
Yesterday at Joann's all the Simplicity patterns were on sale for $1.99, so I bought one (usual cost = $15.95) for some tunics that I could use for Arren (or something else, or whatever).

I watched "Samurai Banners" the other day (a movie starring Toshiro Mifune as Yamamoto Kansuke), I've been watching episodes of "Nobunaga: King of Zipangu" with my mom lately, and I'm reading Taiko by Eiji Yoshikawa. Can I possibly take in any more 1500s Japan???
