Mark Harelik, Terra Cotta Warriors, and a Comment from my Mom

1. Mark Harelik
He's the guest star in the Voyager episode "Counterpoint" who played Kashyk. For some reason I'm just crazy about that episode. Well, it aired again recently and my mom finally got to see the whole thing- she liked it too. The thing is, I kept thinking his name seemed so familiar. "I must have seen this guy in something else," I thought. And then it hit me- he starred in the production of Cyrano de Bergerac I saw with Matlock at South Coast Repertory! It's a weird thing to remember because that must have been at least four years ago now. So, there you have it. <3

2. Terra Cotta Warriors
I went to see this exhibit at the Bowers Museum with Grandma on Saturday. It was interesting, but surprising quite small. Although Bowers is not a big museum, I recall the Forbidden City exhibit I once saw there was much larger. ...I've also seen something Tibet-related there. It seems that it's always something Asian that brings me to the Bowers...

I couldn't help but imagine the idea of the figures being moved and made to fight by Toph or some other powerful Earthbender. ^^;

3. A Comment from my Mom
I'm so sick of my job. Now, of course, lazy person that I am, I'd always rather not be at work, but as the summer drags on, the yearning to get out of here just grows stronger and stronger. The funny part of it is what my mom said. "I'm getting sick of you being at work," she told me yesterday, "I keep thinking you should be done." Well, it doesn't change anything, but I like to hear that! XD
Including today, 6 more days at work before I take a week off and then classes start.

star trek, work
