Well, if my mom were to call the cops on me, they can't do anything unless Nick was beating me, or I was smoking crack. Because I am 17, and have about 4 months before I turn 18, it is considered a domestic problem and the police can not force me to go home considering that this is, as of now, in my best interests. If I was living in my car, it would be a different situation. Also, my mom doesn't have a job, or health insurance for that matter. Nick is actually considered a better caregiver than my mother would be at this point and time. Furthermore, I get free or very low-cost medical care at SJSU. It's part of my tuition, in case I get strep or cancer..
Yes.. I am worried to death about my sister. She will take my room, which is all fine and good... But she may not have it for too long considering that my mom does not have a job, and can not properly care for my sister.
Meh. Luckily, my dad is behind me in all of this, and will help me emancipate myself if my mom wants to get extremly anal and controlling concerning this matter.
Good luck on your driving test... There's a red light in downtown Gilroy that you have to watch out for.. It's located at 6th street, if I'm not mistaken. (I guess something good comes out of living in Gilroy) And practice the backing up 20ft or whatever the numerical value happens to be... That's the worst part of the test, in my opinion.
