Welcome to Sestina Week!
Beginning Monday, 9th June, this community will be celebrating Sestina Week, a totally made-up holiday period where we celebrate the wonder and occasional frustration that is the sestina. Membership is open and everyone is welcome. I am your mod, thucyken , and I shall be ruling you all with my iron fist. Or not. Probably not.
Participants in Sestina Week pledge to write a sestina a day for the week. They may post them here if they wish, but they are not obliged to. Of course, people who just want to write a sestina or week are also welcome to join and post! The only rule: any sestinas posted must have been written during Sestina Week.
If anyone wants to link to their favourite sestinas or sestina-related discussions, please feel free.
Look for a "how-to" post on the sestina to go up before Sestina Week begins. Happy poesy!
