Disaster Strikes...

Well disaster struck my house in the form of a water maine breaking not too far away from my house.

My dad whom I love, forgot to turn off both water valves to the house before leaving to pick up my mother and husband from work. So while they were all gone, strange noises started to eminate from the region of the water container type thingy. I can't believe I forgot what the hell it is...Anyhoo what happens next is scary..

Strange sounds come from first the bathroom where in the form of water sqeezing air out of the lines. One such sound sent me in there to investigate. I see nothing suspicious. Now noises are coming from the laundry room other the *other* side of the wall...This turns out to be worse than the bathroom noises. Water has now overflowed in the water bolier I think its called ( I still can't think of its proper name! ), and is flowing everywhere. We have to get our rug shampooer out to suck up all the water that had now leaked into the den. We live in a double-wide trailer so there isn't a lot of space in between. Now we have to cut the water off to the house entirely. Not just to our water heater...I think that's it!! ^_^ Oy...I really wish the water company had called everyone who would be effected by this water line break, this could have been avoided...Too bad we can't sue for something like that. Our shitty floors are completely ruined. If these floors rot out, we are so damn boned its not even funny.

I hate this house. I don't think I'll ever buy one to live in personally. The building materials for these places are substandard as far as I am concerned. Instead of solid plywood floors, the flooring is made out of partical wood sheets. Which rot really fast if there are any major leaks ( like the aforementioned one here in this post ) in the house at any of the places there is bound to be a lot of water usage.

The wiring is messed up. We have several rooms and various outlets on one circuit breaker. Not to mention if you put in a ceiling fan, you really can't wire it properly. So when you turn off the main switch, everything on the fan gets shut down, which is the fan and lights. When you turn off your light switch only the light should go off not the fan too...

Nails start popping out of there holes from that "nice molding" after a few months. Doors are fucking crooked. The screws in everything from window frames to the air ducts are screwed in crooked so when you have to remove them, you can't put the screws back in at all. I have an air duct like that in my room right now. The screws were so bent because it had been in there so damn long that we couldn't put them back in AND we couldn't find screws that would fit to tack the vent back down. The carpeting was the second thing to be laid down in this house after the linolem(s?). How can you tell? If you look really close, the carpeting runs under every freaking wall, unbroken. Its one huge piece of carpeting. Then the walls were put in. How retarded is that??

I know I should be greatful of a roof over my head but when that roof threatens to collapse due to poor shit-ass contruction, what am I supposed to do? Especially if there is really no other place for me to go? I'v e already prayed that the roof wouldn't be the next to be to go ( and so far it hasn't! ), cause then, we are all screwed here...

problems, headaches, houses
