THE FIRST POEM I EVER WROTE

Mar 30, 2010 02:18

(So we had to write a poem in fourth grade English and my teacher liked mine so much-'cause I was, y'know, this shining example of refreshing poetic style-that she put it in the next issue of the school newsletter. Mum kept a copy for aaages, augh. Oh yes, and this was during the time I wanted to be a dolphin trainer at Sea World. xD)

When upon the icy shores,
It may seem there's many doors;
Leading to a world of foam,
Where the animals have a home.

When upon the icy shores,
It may seem there's many doors;
Leading to where otters play,
All the night and all the day.

When upon the icy shores,
It may seem there's many doors;
Leading to the slippery seals,
Wiggles, giggles, squeaks, and squeals!

When upon the icy shores,
It may seem there's many doors;
Leading to where orcas breech;
During so, seagulls screech.

When upon the icy shores,
It may seem there's many doors;
Leading to where dolphins leap,
They love it best where it's not deep.

When upon the icy shores,
It may seem there's many doors;
Leading to where turtles crawl;
All the while, poets scrawl.
