(no subject)
So finals are done with! All that remains is some lingering thesis-related business that I have been putting off for more than a week, then graduation on Saturday. Everything has a consistently dream-like quality, which I guess makes sense considering that we are all teetering on the edge of some serious life changes. I can't even look around the apartment without imagining everything packed up and in boxes, and every "goodbye" is developing a more serious undertone than the last.
I'm bird-sitting for Steph and Al while they go galavanting off to California to visit his parents, which so far has been a lot of fun. The first night Eva and Thio were here I sat them on the towel rack while I took a bath and hummed songs from Disney movies to keep them entertained. I spent some time reading in my chair this morning, with Thio perched calmly on one knee and Eva flying/waddling/hopping around my room in exploration.
Ughhh... I had two beers with the Dotson's crew this afternoon, accompanied by cheesy bacon fries. When I got home, I added a bowl of yogurt with slices of disappointingly unripe peach to the mess in my stomach, and now, for some reason, I feel like I might hurl.
I wonder what the birds would think of that?
