Wow... what a good weekend.
It was the first one in more than a month in which an otherworldly feeling of "vacation" started to descend upon me. On Friday afternoon I went out for a beer with Alex and his predictably random and pleasantly insane group of friends. He half convinced, half dragged me to a lecture by some comic book philosopher guru named Scott McCloud, which turned out to be surprisingly entertaining. Then Stephanie came down unexpectedly that night, which produced a relaxing night of giggling with the girlfriends on the couch. On Saturday, Bryce risked death by total boredom as he escorted the three of us to the new Goodwill, where I limited myself mostly to the tank top rack so as not to enter that pleasantly delirious shopping time warp that so frequently comes over me in this store. Then I had a platonic indian food date with Joe, in which good curry and conversation abounded. I came home to discover that Al had defeated Corvallis's evil greyhound overlord, Gus (who answers every question with a riddle), and managed to catch a bus down to Eugene. Hurrah!
Sooooo... a large percentage of the weekend was spent in total sloth. But contented sloth, with extended tutoring sessions on both Saturday and Sunday. I think I read one paragraph of my Spanish lit homework on Sunday night before passing out.
Which reminds me that it still needs to be done now, before class at noon.. Yeeps.
Slowly being consumed by a raging case of senioritis,
Namaste,
Jacki
